it's pretty self explanatory, refuse any invite to a customer or customers house, I always do, I know some who stupidly don't refuse the invite. they are usually drunk and I'm working so I'm not wasting my time coming into your house party.

Thats self explanatory, to pull a customer can be taken in different ways depending on the context of the conversation.

Think again .Most taxi drivers are only making chump change .The costs of doing business is to high and one crash could price you out of the business .Look for something else to do .A Wise man once said this is only a part time gig .Try cover your costs and make wage on a Tuesday or even a Sunday Night .

a chap I know who is starting out sought counsel from me a while back.
in my opinion the most important advice is if you're in bad form for whatever reason, don't get behind the fuckin wheel.

I'm puzzled why anyone would want to come into an industry that is already grossly over subscribed with taxis

In Irish Law, threaten to call the Guardai is not actually a threat, it is a Civil Right.
6) if a customer looks dodgy say you are booked
7) do not try to pull your customers especially when they have been drinking
That is a pretty decent list, add on;
8.) No Hoodies.
9) No Wobblers.
10) No one holding on to a Wall or Pole.
11) No food or drink in hand.

And fer myself and I have done this many times, any problem with a passenger park up outside a Garda station and demand payment fer either soilage or a fare up front, once you are parked outside a Garda station then you will see a dramatic turn in their attitude.
