Killed when he fell in the Scottish Champion hurdle .BUT and its a big but nothing he beat that year at Cheltenham went on to do anything .Carvills gave weight and a hammering to Party Politics who won a National Esher Ness who won the National that wasent 6 placed National horses and that years Gold Cup winner .

Fell when still on the bridle at the  last,cantering over household names in racing like Sea Pigeon,Night Nurse, Birds Nest and Beacon Light amongst others.Remember because it wasn't a Handicap back then  he was actually giving weight to Night Nurse and he was still a Novice Hurdler.
