Niki was looking for an assistant with great observational skill.

So he asks each guy that comes in "What's the first thing you notice about me?" and everyone says "You have no ears!". Needless to say none of them gets hired.

Finally one guy says "You're wearing contacts".

Niki Lauda says "That's awesome! You're the first guy to notice! Tell me, what gave it away?"

And the guy goes "If you had ears you'd be wearing glasses"

He was tenacious when one of his aircraft crashed, kept at the investigators to get to the bottom of it which they did...an uncommanded thrust reverser during flight in one of the engines.

I'm ex aircraft maintenance. If you're interested in the nuts and bolts,  I've a book by Michael Crichton called Airframe.

I love all the tech stuff but unfortunately i'm a shite reader....not illiterate, just haven't got the patience for a book..but i'd sit for hours watching documentaries especially aircraft.

I like reading books but there has to be lots of pictures as well.
i can't sit and look at something that looks like a phone book the way novels are.
anyway I hate every form of motorsport especially formula one.

Try a book called 'Shantaram', it's not about car racing and there is no pictures at all,
everything is left to the readers imagination.  Highly recommended.
Free from the local library or about a Tenner on Ebay.
