Independent.ie: €80 damage to car led to €215,000 payout, says Aviva as it ramps up fraud inquiries.

These stories must be coming out on the Back of the Bailey debacle:
Independent.ie: All whiplash patients who attended spine specialist took legal action - and most stopped visiting after legal action finished, study says.

Or the poor yungfella who spilled his hot chocolate on himself on a Ryanair flight and received €150k.....i wonder what the claims would be like if they served cold chocolate.

My daughter broke her toe after tripping on a broken trampoline net in a gymnastics club she was with a few years back,we paid a yearly insurance fee included in the class fees, anyhoo we were just looking to have her hospital fee(€100) covered...we had to collect her and bring her to A&E,the club itself wouldn't pay but said to contact their insurance,my wife rang and yer wan on the phone..nice as fukin pie...says will you making any other claims...the wife says no and yer wan say the excess on the policy is €100...which meant they weren't paying...shoulda taken it further as up to that she gave the impression that they would cover our loss....daughter ended up on crutches for three weeks.

I was nearly killed while working on a building site years ago due to a mistake by a colleague, i only got a bad bruise but i could easily have been killed if i had landed on my head, i fell from a height. i didnt even go home, just worked on. i hadnt broken anything and wasnt that sore. it wouldnt cross my mind to claim unless the people responsible treated me like dirt after it and i was genuinely hurt, which often happens.

i would only claim for medical expenses.

most people who are genuinely hurt through fault of others dont claim, the ones who claim are usually never even hurt, just some lazy low life who is only thinking about themselves. would love to see anyone who makes a fraudulent claim being locked up for a few years.

The radio interview was such a car crash that your woman thinks she might have another claim.
