I haven't had a shift like that in years.During the recession I got a job to Cavan and came back in to get town to Barberstown castle plus another ton off the street in between.

I have noticed since I'm working the app more I haven't been out of Dublin much in years.Which means the higher ranked drivers/limos and ambassador scum are getting the good ones.

Strange how it comes togeather if I had juice I wouldnt of went into the Garage .Lady needed smokes .She says to me will you take us to Maynooth and do you mind waiting till I have a smoke ?Maynooth Im thinking ill roll the smoke for you if you like .Always nice when you get something on the return from far far away .Years since I got an easy shift like this .Last one I got was job to Newcastle then got a job from the Lyons hotel to Straffian private party in the hotel I got 6 jobs out of it and the upside was some were going from the hotel to the house but others were returning from the house to the hotel .Homeowner asked would I stick with them until everybody was sorted .Gave me a deuce tip when I was finished .

I dunno who is getting the best jobs, if anyone ?
I'm Ambassador Gold at the moment and all the jobs I see on the pre-book screen in Cork are fer a Tenner to Fifteen Euro.

I did get One juicy one last night at 1.30am fer the First time ever, Donnybrook in Cork going to Dublin airport (on cash account), but then after I hit "Arrived" and saw her Blonde 18 year old photo appear on my screen !!

The algorithm gives better work the more ya work it.Back when I covered more jobs for hailo I was getting juicier jobs.

Cork to Dublin no worth it unless you're getting a job back...How much commission did you pay anyway?

Equate that with the following six bad nights and you have an average! 8)

I didn't get the job, little miss blonde Barbie turned out to be little miss Piggy, she inputed Dublin airport as her destination knowing that the job would be snapped up immediately, she was only going in to town and she haggled fer Ireland the whole way telling a load of lies, then tried paying the 20Euro fare with a Fiver and a load of coins swearing that there was 20 Euro there, when I counted and refused it there was 9.50 there, then she pulled out a Fifty to pay the full fare !

Empty kesh at 3.50pm today with 46 drivers on the Mytaxi virtual rank.

Lunchtime yesterday...pissing rain and about 100 punters in a Q with their luggage waiting for a non existant taxi at T2...not one Taxi in the taxi lane in sight except on the drop off road inside it which was full of empty cars who had just dropped off and about to leave the port empty, madness.

Probably someone struggling to get a cab, when you get them on board all of a sudden it's Oranmore Rd in Ballyfermot and not Galway.

That's Mad !  In Cork airport which is tiny in comparison to Dooblin, the drop off point is across the road from the main rank, so if ya drop off and the main rank is empty or close to empty you can simply join it.
And a lot of passengers from close by suburbs often walk to the arrivals drop-off point to get a Taxi home rather than face an abusive aggressive journey from a driver who is on the main rank and does not want a 15Euro fare.

That seems to be getting a popular trick fer customers, input a long destination and your guaranteed a cab within minutes !
And then; "Opps, sorry about that !".

I knew taking the job that it was 90% a spoof, but the Doob name Finnegan on the account gave me some hope. As I was around the corner from the job anyway I didn't really care cos I needed a wee and the car needed diesel which would have meant Two stops en route with the pax on-board, still'n'all it would have been a handy one at 1.30am, Two and a half hours up, Two and a half hours back,  No traffic, 30 in diesel, 14 in tolls and about 60 in commission would have cleared me about 400 or 80 an hour.
There are very few Dooblin runs fer Taxies anymore, the Aer coach at a Tenner killed off that very lucrative 'Golden Goose' !

Up here it's guys in yellow coats telling you to fuck the hell off as soon as you drop off and to leave those freezing punters alone as they're nothing to do with you.  ::fds

That's 'Bat-shite' !
Thankfully we don't have guys in Yellow coats telling us what to do in Cork, there is the main rank outside the terminal and a holding rank called 'Pebble Beach' about 200 meters away but no one telling us what to do, every one knows the rules and every one obeys them.

I think if I accepted one of these fake destination jobs and the real job was to a shitty area Id tell the customer no way, I only accepted the job because it suited me or I was going in that general direction so NO get the fuck out.
