Google Maps will alert passengers if taxi goes the long way. In India for now, but maybe coming soon to Ireland?

To get Maps to track your ride, look for navigation directions to your destination, and tap the Stay safer button in the menu at the bottom. You'll find the off-route alerts there. Enable them then start the navigation.
Your current trip will be tracked, with one important change: a banner on the top that says you'll be alerted if your driver diverts by 500 meters (0.31 miles). This should leave enough room for small adjustments, personal driving preferences, and traffic avoidance, but also let you know if the car goes off-course so you can double-check the current drive. Maybe the re-route makes sense and Maps hadn't seen it as a valid alternative, or maybe something is really wrong — which we all hope is never the case. But at least you'll be alerted and you don't need to stare at your phone for the entire drive to know this.

I think you can change Google Maps to exclude Motorways in the instructions, bit too complicated for me

Google Maps can't find my house.
It directs clueless drivers who got their licence as a result of owning a Sat-nav into a cul de sac containing an Irish School.
Will they ever learn?

The student cnuts do that...they put Goggle maps on audio . Only they put the wrong location on ther phone so it sounds like yur going the wrong way then they... Say they not paying the full fare..... This actually happened me an I had to stop the car an turn around an give them the Clint eastward stare then i do me marcellus Walus speech from pulp fiction untill the cnuts alight me motherFukin vehicle

That's gas because Goggle bleedin maps doesn't take inta account we can go up streets that cars can't and doesn't think of empty bus lanes..... Another tech cunt sittin behind a screen trying to make a name for himself causing trouble in the real world

I picked up a business man who was driven Tallaght,M50 to the airport from Portobello at 7am.
If any passengers want to play that game,it's 70 to the airport!
