London black cabs shafted by new App owners:

Masters of their own destruction, Silver.

I think this is either a high oversight or deliberate to piss off the black cabs. The costs of running one of them black cabs is much higher than a minicab bloke in a Prius.15% is a bit greedy.
-
A tad ironic.
All these App's were to drive down car usage/ownership.
What has happened is mass congestion of empty service providers.

Can yis not see at all ? for the millionth time DRIVERS HOLD THE BALLANCE OF POWER.I just cannot understand why taxi drivers insist on letting. others run THEIR industry ? They cannot piss without you,and its like as if you dont want to take responsibility.ffs this is YOUR industry ditch dispatchers before its to late.there is always posters on here talking about how dispatchers are shafting you They are not shafting you, your shafting YOURSELF.your putting these people in a position of power, when they should not even be in our industry.ffs cop on to yourselves

Not true, Dalyer..........you need to get a handle on group dynamics and how humans truly function......murder is illegal so they have to kill by stealth and their puppet-masters know this......Irish Civil War ring a bell?

I see no comparison at all lippy

Nobody really has the best interests of the "group" at heart....they're lying when they say they do.

Free Now has zero brand visibility in London, no billboards, no free advertising from drivers, nothing. Uber is what the locals use and UberX (licensed minicabs or PHVs, what we call hackneys) is the product of choice. Free Now will have to try the PHV market again to make any impact... it previously tried and failed miserably under the Hail0 brand.

So why up the commission?

We can only speculate. I was surprised that it has no brand visibility in London given the saturation advertising surrounding the latest rebranding here. My own guess would be that it will be launching something like Ride Now using PHVs in the not too distant future.
