Uber’s application to renew its private hire operating licence in London has been rebuffed again by regulators.
Transport for London has instead given the ride-hailing firm only a two-month extension to its licence, which is due to expire on Wednesday night.
It is the second time in two years that TfL has rejected Uber’s application for a full operating licence.

Brown envelopes it will be sorted .Expect them to do like the taxithingey did here and issue another type of licence somewhere between a taxi and a hack .

TfL removed Uber's licence in 2017 on grounds that it was not a "fit and proper person" to run a minicab firm – possibly the greatest insult ever uttered.
Uber's breaches included conducting driver eye tests via video link to a service called Push Doctor, as well as spying on regulators who were checking Uber's services using Greyball software.
Uber also made a bungled attempt to cover up the loss of millions of customers’ private data by paying the hacker $100,000 to keep schtum.
Ouch!
