The court heard Lyons has previous District Court convictions for theft from between December 2017 and August 2018 for similar offences of withdrawing money from the accounts of customers using cards they had given him to make payments.

Judge O’Connor suspended a two-and-half-year sentence in full, on strict conditions, after she said she had decided to give Lyons one final chance. She said she had taken time to consider the case. “He has been remanded in custody by me to see the inside of the prison,” Judge O’Connor said, before adding that Lyons would find himself if he re-offends.
Might have been a good idea for him to 'see the inside of the prison' the first time? C:-)

What rule? I think there was a proposal that men with serious convictions (murder) could have their licences revoked in certain circumstances. There was also a proposal for SPSV specific penalty points (and/or double penalty points for SPSV drivers)... I haven't seen any evidence of those proposals being enacted though.
In Barry's case his licence was revoked by An Garda Siochana but he enlisted the support of TTNH and got it restored in court.

Given that he's white (well, not overly dark) and Irish by accident of birth he could join TTNH if he's a DAA permit holder with a view to getting his licence back should it be revoked.
