There'll always be some that get through and some that don't. Of those who don't a small percentage will be lucky enough to be alive and may pursue asylum claims. What we really need to address is why people are taking such risks... with a view to providing safe passage where appropriate.

We turn a blind eye to international law breakers, and the legal system see a cash cow.
If they win their case the state pays, if they lose their case the state pays. Win Win.
