Each of them denied having known anything about another car allegedly having been driven up and down the side of the rank until they had got inside their hired taxi.
And they denied any knowledge of one of their foursome having made a phone call just before they got into their taxi which, the defendants claimed, had followed them and had speeded up to run into the back of them on the roundabout.
You'd think with all the s'curity cameras around these days and that our phone records are kept for a couple of years that this would be proven true or not.
Taxi driver got lucky today. Bet his premium still goes up next year though ::fds
