From the article. Seems to contradict the "Fuk'd Now" spend, in that they see trucks as more lucrative
"In addition, full-scale deployment of the robotaxi business model ties up a lot of capital, and there are uncertainties surrounding the earnings potential. Eventually, their robotaxi spending will shift towards development of autonomous cars for private use."

Do these people who continuesly invent things, all kind of new technology, etc etc not realize, that they are doing away with peoples earning power through being surplas to requirements. Now if, and when that happens, how the fukk do they expect the same people they want to buy their products to pay for them ?

Apps put taxi companies out of business. I think its called progress.

Jesus, the comments section looks like its written by thick children.
"My father has said that it could be the solution to keep rural pubs open and stop drink driving. Have your few pints and then get driven home safely in an automated car."

Your father is a wise man taxi1990, what part of the country are you in ?

He could be right but it will take time... will the pubs survive long enough without some sort of intervention in the interim? If they all closed at the same time the publicans could organise minibuses I guess, problem is they'll tell you it's not viable to throw men out at whatever is determined to be closing time if the men still have money in their pockets and still want drink. I guess attitudes will have to change if they are to survive.

my father didn't say that, Its a comment from the journal.
it seems pointless to say such a thing as I think autonomous cars are years away and might never be able to navigate country roads. it's like people in the 80s thinking we would have flying cars in the year 2000.
if the guy in charge of autonomous driving at Audi thinks autonomous cars are decades away then I'd be believing him.
-
Does your father agree with it?
-
I'm driving green diesel to help the enviroment
-
Does your father agree with it?
No, he like me thinks fully autonomous vehicles are decades away and nothing to be worries about.
