Armed man escapes as cash-in-transit van robbed in Dublin

A significant amount of cash has been stolen after an armed man robbed a cash-in-transit van in Dublin.
GardaĆ said the man, who was armed with a handgun, made off on foot with a cash box which was taken from a security van in Cornmarket in the south inner city.
Two security staff members were delivering cash to an ATM at the time.
No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident which occurred at around 5.20am.
GardaĆ have appealed for anyone with information to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01-666 9400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Taxi driver might have been an ex-con ITDF member who could have helped him launder the money :P
