Ride sharing service, Uber, and its culinary tentacle Uber Eats, have fallen down and there does not appear to be a helpful driver to pick them up.

The problem is global and, judging by the caterwauling on social media by those forced to stand in the rain, or prepare their own food, kicked off at around 3pm UK time.
oops

Ironically, Uber introduced a revolutionary new product a few weeks back in limited markets in the USA - using the telephone part of your phone to get a rideshare  ??? Maybe some clever person will invent a way to get a taxi that doesn't involve a phone?

Amazing how reliant folk are on Uber... off the air for a few minutes and all hell breaks loose.

There was on Free Now's Kapten_ app in London. How come they can charge STGĀ£20 per mile on the mainland but we have to work for buttons regardless of demand?

Think that the mainland would be/was Euraisia. Engerland is and island.
