LONDON/FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE) will delay repayment on $1.25 billion of bonds when they become redeemable next month, a rare move in the industry that could pave the way for other lenders to follow suit in a market shaken by the coronavirus outbreak.
With the appetite for risky debt severely hit by recent market volatility, Germany’s biggest bank said on Wednesday it would hold on to $1.25 billion of so-called Additional Tier 1 (AT1) bonds rather than repay it.
AT1 bonds - more commonly known as a type of contingent convertible, or CoCo, bonds - are the most risky debt banks can issue. They are designed to be perpetual in nature, though banks can repay them after a specified period - in this case, Apr. 30.
It is usual for banks to repay them at the first opportunity rather than risk stoking speculation over their cash and solvency positions.

If I was advising anybody my advice would be borrow from your credit union even if you dont need the cash forget about repaying credit cards best case scenario this thing lasts at least 6 months .As you say Lip hardship your credit rating wont matter a fuck there will be nothing to borrow .

....they will pass it on to at least 2 others...in a family situation probably everyone will get it ....the incubation period is at least 5 days to 14 days from what I am led to believe.....
This means that those who have it in this country without symptoms could already be in the thousands ....

To put things into some perspective .We are hoarding food and looking at the danger and death rate 2.to 2.5% kill rate but think 80 years ago 1940 young men all across Europe waiting to be called up to go to War much higher death rate harder times less luxuries but there was community spirit STAY CALM AND CARRY ON .I told Korky when I met him in Cork that this site was a therapy for lads who need to vent ,there are a few you could call upon for help.So vent away if it helps your head and dont be afraid to ask for help .

Both my parents are mid 80? Daily ....according to stats I am being led to believe their mortality rate if they get this is about 5/1......
They are isolating themselves and I will be supplying them with shopping etc ....I cannot afford to get it because i need to be there for them as their only son ......and I am taking precautions not to get the virus as this is serious for them .....
Your family also who you are in contact and will be assisting you I am sure educating themselves about transmission....
not panicking ...but minimising risk and taking it seriously...
