Passenger & Driver Protective Screens
Great news!! We've installed screens between the front and back of Lynk Taxis so you and your driver are separated. As Dublin gradually comes out of lockdown we hope these screens, along with PPE for our drivers ensure that you can travel by taxi with confidence.

How to Book a Screened Taxi
1. Download/Open the Lynk app or call 018202020
2. Set 'Address' & 'Destination'
3. Change vehicle to 'Protective Screen'
4. Confirm your details & book
We recommend that you pay a card. Card journeys are completely contactless, you can just jump in & jump out without any cash handover!.

Personal Protective Equipment.
Makes sense for anyone who's nervous about the virus but has to travel to choose Lynk, I guess and it obviously makes the firm the logical choice for hospital patient transfers.

Has Ebbs actually paid to have these screens installed in the cars.if not he has NO RIGHT to claim that WE'VE installed them giving the inmpression to the public,that the cars belong to the cunt.I would more then anything when this thing is over to read that all these fukin unnecessary conmen have gone out of business

Depends what he means by "we". Maybe he means the bosses and drivers that work for the firm. He does own a substantial amount of the vehicles on his fleet though.

First it was ambassadors now it looks like "No Screen" , "No work" really making it hard especially as there will be very little available out on the streets.
So we get a screen and next thing you know it dont comply with your insurance or the SGS, WTF are we supposed to do ?

As well as that even if the NCT,and suitability DO agree to ir,all it takes is some little prick to scratch his name on it,and it fails the suitability.thats very likely,considering they failed a nimber of years ago because there was a letter missing of my nevet used fukin fire extinguisher

Partition Screen Booking Option

As so many drivers are choosing to have a screen installed in their taxi, we have decided to launch a new booking option that allows passengers to select a taxi with a partition screen. This new booking option will be called Taxi + Screen in the app.
Let us know if you have a partition screen in your vehicle and you'll be able to start receiving requests from passengers who choose this booking option.

Why oh why can none of you these cunt dispatchers are being allowed make the running.is there NONE of you with any balls to tell them to fukk off.even the drivers that work with Ebbs and F/N are being FORCED into getting these screens in at MORE expense in an industry that will be on its knees when this is over.if you are a taxi customer and you have the option of chosing a car with a screen,as opposed to a car with NO screen.there is no contest which hasone your going to choose.drivers are now faced with very real choses in the coming weeks.this game is becoming ever more expensive to stay in,so your choices are simple .either be prepared to stay ,and continue to hand out cash every time your lords and masters get another idea,or take back control of YOUR industry,and tell dispatchers to fukk off.

Daly for every grumpy bastard like me that will tell Freenow to get stuffed there are 99 drivers who will comply and buy screens without asking questions.This is why we get walked on.The drivers in the minority cannot change things.No point getting worked up over it.

John is it not obvious to you why I want to see the death of dispatchers ? Im an independent right ? Now you tell me what chance I have of staying in the game when nearly every driver is aligned to one or other of them ? So all im doing is fighting for survival,but at the same time,watching my colleagues being screwed by these cunts.also it DOES effect me.if for example Ebbs or F/N go down the road of screens(which they have done) how long do you think the rest of the fleet will survive if they DONT get a screen.this is another example of these cunts costing us money,and instead of opposing it,your having a go at me

Bob your preaching to the converted.ive always said anyone not aligned is fukked,myself included I have also said many times on here that the lads who really need to make a living from this game is young married men .all these things you throw at me,I have already agreed with.the fact remains though,they are being exploited by dispatchers,who are well aware they can bounce them around any way they want whenever they feel like it,and imo the unions have not been strong enough to protect them.I would hate to be a young man depending on this game for my living,but then again if I was a young man again I doubt I would be in the game in the first place.

The customer who pays our wages requires a despatch network.
My 1st preference would be for a non profit one, run by the state with a compulsory link for drivers.
My 2nd preference would be for a driver's cooperative, but that ship has sailed for several reasons, mainly for the same reason that we are taxi drivers.
The traditional despatchers would be an infinitely better, and financially more rewarding option than Fuk'd Now.
Street work is now all but gone, and it's now the driver who needs a despatcher more thatn ever if he wants "raise a family, pay a mortgage work/money".

I actually agree with your first 2 choices,and if a state run transperent dispatch operation was set up I would give serious consideration to staying,but it would have to be state run for me anyway,others might feel differently

Imagine a TD willing to support a Government and all he wanted was a state run taxi app OH BUT then lads would say Me Bollox then the fucking tax man would know what we are earning .There is the taxi industry in a nutshell.
