I heard that lowlife scumbag knacker Pat McDonagh (Supermacs) on the wireless last week complaining that the students don't want to work for him this summer because their PUP is as good as the tenner an hour he is prepared to pay them after claiming €7/hour wage subsidy from the State.

He charged for food, whether they had it or not. He charged for uniforms as well.

I never got any food from any of the firms I worked for apart from coffee and biscuits from Free Now which was FOC. The only one that had a uniform was C2K, that was also supplied FOC.

Ebbs supplied uniforms at cost, whatever that means.
Sure Blues charges for insurance on the system/ phone you didn't have.

Blues never charged for radio insurance when I worked for them, it was included with most taxi policies regardless.

Did you not get free coffee and sambos in the Crown Plaza a while back when Anto was throwin gold bars around to keep hotels just before or around the start of the last recession, I know that's the only time I got anything back from any taxi company in 25 years!

I left in 2010,was at a Crowne Plaza soiree but don't remember tea/coffee and sandwiches....as for gold bars?....but i do remember spotting a couple of lads that seemed out of place sitting on their own(separately) on the periphery of the crowded room looking more intently at the audience than what Anto was saying.

I think you're right, Wingnut. There were a few meetings like that over the years where refreshments were provided. It was the one in the Regency that cost us PUC on jobs from the depot... proposed by a driver and democratically ratified, if memory serves.

I gotta agree, I have always reckoned the Da was in on it, my own 2 daughters were of similar age back then and if this had happened to my family then no way would I have been as placid and controlled in any press interview as Gerry McCann was back then. I would have either being balling my eyes out crying, or calling fer the Portuguese or UN military to be brought in, probably ALL !
