My hen has inherited her mothers motor UK reg .Does she need to be registered as the owner on the UK logbook before she imports it and pays the VRT or will they just change the owners name on the Irish logbook .

no she has to have the foreign logger though for the vrt.
she hands everything in and then when the fuckin car is taxed and insured she'll get sent out the new logger in her name.

So just turn up in Tallaght with the old UK logbook pay the extortion and they send out the new book as Geilga in her name ?

renault modus was her mams she is using it to drive back with bits  so might as well pay the extortion .she is driving an 06 polo at the moment so 14 year rule will jack up the insurance .
