I picke up the first fella that was attacked on that cyclepath about six months ago .He was telling me they hit him on the head luckily he was wearing a helmet the Gards caught a youngfella a few days later with a hammer in his waistband with a knife sellotaped to the handle forming a tomokawk .Some of the little cunts operating around there are fucking ferrel loads of escape routes jump on the Luas cross Lansdown Valley into Drimnagh or up the canal to Bluebell or Inchicore .I was at the lights about a year ago and the fuckers smashed a car window and grabbed a phone .

Immigrants?
West Dublin seems to have gone mad altogether during the lockdown. I'd say "the K" has taken over from Store St as the shortest straw for Gardai.

I blame it all on a poor St.Pats team...Ya dont see that carry on in Hoopsville Talla

Was thinking of doing to the grand canal cycle next month Dublin to Shannon its only 131k but cycling ireland are telling members to start out in lucan instead of the city due to these attacks, there has been over 20 attacks this year on that stretch from Inchicore to Clondalkin and oddly enough there's nothing in the news about how we rob our cycling tourist.

I remember my father telling me them fellas were known as the "buggsies" many moons ago. I actually saw it happening on Gardiner Street about 40 years ago. We were pulled up at traffic lights behind a vw beetle. Two fellas ran out from a derelict building, smashed the passenger window and grabbed something and away they went. About 15 seconds all in all. Smooth operation.

Happened to my mother at the top of Gardiner St. I think you could sue the council for damages in those days but it got so bad they changed the law. Same with cars damaged by potholes.
