Title: Vinny on the radio yesterday..
Post by: mercenary for hire on August 15, 2020, 11:57:59 am
So firstly fair play to Vinny for helping drivers out. According to this clip he thinks we can claim for our insurance premiums.Dunno about that one..

Also as mentioned this clip he seems overly concerned that pensioners who get 10k upwards off the state every year aren't qualifying for the €1000 grant.Surely they should be the ones staying at home for health reasons instead of taking the work off the family men with young kids to feed and mortgages to pay.I have zero sympathies for pensioners myself.I don't know why anyone would.

well Im a pensioner myself, and I feel the same way as you.young men trying to raise a family should be first in line for any help being given by govt.its very hard for young lads trying to survive, but you could also point the finger at double jobbers, illegals, renters ,etc .the priority has to be young men with families, and morgages as far as im concerned.it was interestingly to hear Kearns again trying to get drivers to sign up to radio companies in his usual sneakey way.does he not realize FN are the bosses of this game, and he and his likes are fukked.I was talking to a cab2000000000 driver last week, and he told me kelly is down to less then 70 drivers from 350

Kearns seemed pretty certain John,he wouldnt make such a definitive statement without first hand knowledge I think

Dalymount stop and fucking read what I wrote .You are NOT A CIVIL SERVANT deciding if you qualify is below your pay grade .Apply and let a Civil servant decide not a talking head on the radio .This payment is back dated .You werre on the covid before you went off the covid that is the basic requirement to put in a claim .

IMO Vinny missed an opportunity..he only had five minutes on the national airways and he mentioned a minority of drivers who have pensions that nobody cares about.Must be a few pensioners in his company. No mention of the geography exam being softened encouraging more new blood while over half of the existing fleet is on their COVID holidays. But then again I didn't realise he is part of some despatch owners union group, some who rent out vehicles.Very disappointing.

Was he supporting the BIG representative body who claimed in a National Newspaper that Drivers are working 24 hour shifts .

The application is to social welfare. They can see on there screen that you are in receipt of the pension. It says you must have closed your claim. Not transitioned to oap.

So are you saying Kearns is wrong ,that I would meet the criteria ? I know its always been the case that you cannot receive two sw payments at the same time

I think what he's saying is that you didn't close your claim, you were no longer eligible, now I'd say most of the pensioners Vinny talks about were never eligible (unlike yourself), so that "might" make a difference

Get the claims in quickly. There's only 12 million to share among the nations sole traders/small self employed set ups. I've the forms printed off, filled out and ready to post as soon as I get one last small detail on Monday.

Correct. It's a no brainer. You've nothing to lose. Worst case scenario they can say no. If you're allowed by law to be a pensioner and self employed at the same time, you should be able to avail of the same entitlements.

Your an IDIOT Dollymount .Read the fucking thing .IF YOU ARE A PENSIONER YOU WOULD NOT OF BEEN ENTITLED TO CLAIM THE PUP .Now answer me this did you claim and receive the PUP ? What Vinny meant was Pensioners at the beginning of the Covid Coin did not qualify for Covid Coin so therefore do not have the QUALIFICATION ie they were in receipt of Covid Coin to apply or receive this Coin .You on the other hand were in receipt of the Coinage and have closed your claim this was done automatically when you were elevated on to Old Folks Coin .Now Did you claim Covid Coin and is your claim now closed ?that is the qualification for making a claim .Not your misguided interpretation of something one of your favourite dispatchers said on the wireless .

Dollyer ,Let me put it like this .Big Dommo fancied Una Mulligan but he never asked her out years later he met her at Brona Flynns Funeral and they got talking Dommo told her he use to fancy her and she said she always wanted him to ask her out .Dommo said a fella called Vinny from thr Gaffs beside the Flats told him he had no chance .Unrequited Love .If you dont ask you wont receive .

If its backdated and they deny you I would be on to FLAC .You returned to work the day before you were AUTOMATICALLY transfered on to your Old age pension .If your licence and insurance was valid then its up to YOU to declare when you returned to work .Im sure you felt obliged to return to work as your income was going down from Covid coin to Old Folks Coin .Who said you did not return to work before your payment changed ?

Fill in a bloddy application remember the dates and apply for the coin a Civil Servant will decide .

It will make a big difference wether you can claim for your insurance premum or not if you cant, then a lot of us are going to struggle to make up a grand.on t h e other hand,it says you can claim for fuel.I wpnder if tou submit only fuel receipts would that be acceptable ? Surely that alone comes to more then a grand.

The application form only has 9 lines for claiming stuff so you'd want to prioritize what you're claiming for!

Be carefull with fuel bills. your fuel bill for a time you were in reciept of Covid Coin /Poxwonga .This is not allowable as you were in reciept of PUP .It says non consumables so Tyres and Fuel might be allowed form some of your claim but screen .phone .Computer for the likes of Only who runs a good on line service ,A service for your motor cleaning Insurance is not exactly a consumable so could be allowable .

I'd hazard a guess  that the corpulent corporate boot licker is worried about his army pension, union pension, and private pension.

Add in the pensions of his army buddies who he gets rent off and you've a perfect storm.

In other words f**k him and the sinking ship he runs! 8)

Ah sure ye'll have RC saying how great they were telling Revenue lies about what little you were earning, and telling the banks and building societies how much you were earning...for a fee.

Alas Rodent Jim gave an interview to a leading National newspaper from his position of spokesperson for some repbody that has 5000 yes 5000 members and he said taxi drivers are doing 12 hour illegal shifts and some are even doing 24 hour shifts .Now it will be impossible for the HSA or RSA to not react to that statement from the leading representative body .

Ah well... but I'm convinced Jim isn't as thick as he makes out. No doubt if driving hours are controlled in some way he'll have a little whip round for a judicial review that'll never happen!

I didnt see it that way I thought how Socially responsible for a Representative body to hilite illegal practice in their industry .Im sure they decided to bring it to National attention through the press as most Ministers for Motoring and the ex TD that runs the RSA have turned a blind eye to the illegal practice .Fair play for bringing the issue to national attention .
