There seems to be enough pubs open to satisfy demand.

Warning not to let guard down as 307 Covid-19 cases reported (https://www.rte.ie/news/coronavirus/2020/0908/1163985-covid-figures-daily/) (RTE)

Quote
- There has been a significant increase in the number of Covid-19 cases reported by the Department of Health, after a further 307 cases have been confirmed in the past 24 hours.
- It is the highest figure reported since mid-May.
- More than half of the new cases are in Dublin, with 182 reported. Community transmission is associated with 44 of those cases.
- Of the case notified today 160 are men and 146 are women. 73% are under the age of 45.

And there's a surge in parents bringing their kids to the GP.

Maybe the pubs (and ourselves) won't be going back on 21st after all!

I think they should be careful in considering a local lockdown in Dublin. The directly attributable COVID '19 death rate has diminished but we have seen a few murders which may be indirectly attributable to the pandemic as a consequence of restrictions....
