The french authorities conducted their own investigation and trial from France and convicted Bailey in his absence.
Apparently 3rd time they have tried to extradite him and Irish courts having none of it.

Even though he hasn't been found guilty he is sort of is serving a life sentence. It has been hanging over him for over 20 years and he is stuck in Ireland for life.
Wouldn't say he would risk leaving in case the french try to have him arrested in another jurisdiction.

I have an old mate that I grew up with who is a barman in Schull fer the past 30 odd years and he has always said to me that Bailey is as guilty as sin even the dogs on the streets of Schull know it.
Gardai fooked up the initial investigation and Bailey took full advantage.
The kount still comes to the farmers market on the Coal quay in Cork every weekend to sell his wares.
I would dearly love to see someone slip up behind him with a chloroform hanky and away off in to a waiting speed boat on the quay to France.

In this country, you're automatically innocent until proven guilty of a crime. He was never 'found' innocent - he was always innocent. You should remember that in case some female passenger accuses you (plural) of touching her up!
The legal system in France is completely different to ours. And the evidence they relied on was rubbished by an Irish retired Attorney General. The Gardai fukked up the investigation and resorted to lies, bribes and blackmail to make their case. So I wouldn't place too much weight on what the French courts deduced from discredited Irish evidence.

Garda Plant Evidence ?I wonder where the Gilligan Gun came from ?read in the paper Spanash Garda were informed by the Irish Garda that a Garda Informer told them about the Gun .If it turns out to be the gun that killed yer one then he is fucked but questions might be asked about why the Spanish Garda filimed the recovery of the Gun and Gilligans arrest and put it out on the telly but didnt put out the film of the arrest of the others arrested on the Day .
