Title: Change of vehicle particulars RF111
Post by: maxi on February 02, 2021, 07:44:17 pm: Wondering anyone know where to send vehicle change particulars form RF111 when change from PSV to Private?

Post by: Shallowhal on February 02, 2021, 08:07:27 pm: Only thinking about that myself this evening Maxi as that's what i'll be doing that myself,when i was doing the opposite(private to taxi) back in 2015,i brought the RF111,VLC and my Taxi licence to my local motor tax office and they took care of it,received a new VLC from Shannon some time later with the new taxation class on it,
I don't know if my local tax office is open but as my car is still taxed (PSV)until the end of Feb i'm not going to effect that change until March.

Insurance Cert
Correct Fee

Post by: Rat Catcher on February 03, 2021, 05:24:39 pm: They changed the system about 20 years ago, Maxi. You have to pay the tax before Shannon will do anything... same applies to registering new vehicles.

Post by: Shallowhal on March 02, 2021, 07:40:25 pm: My local motor tax office is closed but i made enquiries yesterday via email,girl rang me to say that if i put the completed RF111 form along with the VLC in their letter box(or post ifn ye like)they'll process it(send the VLC to Shannon and tax it also,there's a section the the RF111 to put your credit/visa card details or you can include a postal order/bank draft with the application.

I sleuthed it out....there were phone numbers in the window of the tax office...which were fukall use cos nobody answered them...so i sent an email to motortax@louthcoco.ie,a lovely lady rang me to say that they were processing the forms and just pop it in the letterbox.
