My science was perfect ken an I hate to pull rank but I'm educated an horse isnt ...horse just an eyed me like a parrot that wudnt shut up ...an it's very hard to strangle a parrot over the internet.....
And btw it wasnt over the volume of an egg .....it was how do you tell if it was hard boiled or soft boiled ....I gave 2 solutions based on factual applicable practical science. Both using the eggs density difference to find the answer ....one using
The rate of oscillation of 2 objects of equal size suspended on pendulum of equal length...the other method was to use a simple specific gravity apparatus you could make in your kitchen ....both of these methods are proven in science and I supplyed recognised science references ...
Which I learned whilst doing my engineering degree
The horses answer was to buy a laser pen in the pound shop and shine a lite tru it ......

My Solution was a solution if you forgive the pun .It was to immerse the sample eggs in Vinegar which would disolev the shells while not breaking them thus exposing the egg white which could then be sliced with a knife that was purchased along with the vinegar from Lidil as that was what the quest was to discover if the yolk of the egg usa hard boiled or soft boiled without breaking the shell using only items purchased in Lidil .
I have in fact submitted that solution to the Nobel Committee to give them a good laugh as they adjudicate on which Vaccine that is going to save the World from the Scooby Flu deservs the Prize for Science .You would think if the Scooby Flu is as dangerous at they say then the 2021 Nobel Prize for Science or Medicine or Chemistry has to go to the Inventors of either the Scooby Flu or the Scooby Flu vaccine .
