Im having breakfast with Big Dommo ,Billy the Bastard and Tommy Two Scars on Zoom this Morning we have had breakfast on Paddys Day together for nearly 40 years .The tradition was early breakfast then up to Heuston trainstation buy a ticket to anywhere then you could use the bar in the station and get a pint as all the Pubs in Dublin were closed on Paddys Day .Big Dommo asks "Well what do you think of that year?

What you doing for Paddys Day ?I have a few gallons of cheap Lidil Cider in the fridge .Well when I say in the fridge I mean outside the kitchen door to keep cool .Im going to have a bet and watch the racing .Ill miss going to the pub and shouting Hey Bollockhead at the barman turn that fucking parade off and get all these kids to fuck out of the bar I want to watch the racing then some immigrant from Kerry or Sligo grunting that he wanted to watch the Railway Cup cos his cousins cousin on his mothers sides sons boyfriend is playing for Doonbarra or some god awfull Irish village .Some traditions are just magic .Then by 5.30 the racing over and your hoping somebody buys you a pint cos your broke and Sligoman is crying because barra were baten like Delaneys Donkey and some oulone in the corner drinking pints and trying to remember the words to the second verse of Kevin Barry and young O Tool trying to get two euro off his oulfella for a single of chips but the two euro will be spent on two cans of Spanglerhoffenbraw Bier in Aldi not chips .

They went to America because they have a far bigger population to make money from. People just hate Michael O Leary because has no respect for his customers or employees, calls his pilots glorified bus drivers and doesn't allow employees to charge their phones at work, no one like a boss like that. He threatened to blacklist anyone who tried to use chargeback on cancelled flights last year when they were perfectly entitled to do it, while taking up tp 12 months to refund passengers when legally he should have done it within 3 weeks of Ryan air cancelling the flights. Air lingus all the way for me, I would never use Ryan air again even if they are half the price of Air lingus.

The last time I was on a Ryan air flight I was badly hungover and crammed between 2 seats,I am too tall for his planes, thankfully I slept for about half the journey.

I took my car for a drive to charge the battery last evening. Driving through town I noticed a licenced public house door open with plenty of comings and goings so I drove round to the Garda COVID '19 checkpoint, ignored the wave through, stopped and asked why said public house was open. The Garda told me that were doing food all day, mentioning another licensed premises that was also open and adding "sure you can get a pint too". Is it just takeaway, asks I... I suppose so, says he in a decidedly unconvincing tone, adding something about "drowning the shamrock"... all while questioning immigrants and the like about the purpose of their travel!
