I have this intermittent problem with my full beams. I'll have them on and then when I knock the stalk back to the off position the blue full beam icon stays on in the instrument panel and the full beams flash on and off themselves maybe 7 or 8 times without me being able to control it for around 20 seconds. Anybody know what the craic is.

Dont use your full beams...... Problem solved
-
IT'S ALL A LOADA BOLLOX!!
Sounds like your high beam stalk is on it's way out,
I'd remove the cowl around the steering and spray some electrical contact cleaner, start with the simple stuff.

Maybe the stalk is dicky? Best way for faults like that is to google an owners group for faults experienced. Had a really weird fault on an e220 about 7 years ago, which turned out to be worn insulation on a wire in the lift arm of the boot lid. The uninsulated wire was earthing intermittently. Got the answer on a Merc users website. If you have a problem on a model it's very likely that other users of that model have had it.

Silence is Golden
Paddy was out driving with the wife.
After speeding down a long stretch of road he noticed the flashing lights of a Garda car behind him and pulled over..
“Can I help you Guard”? he said
“Do you realize that your wife fell out of the car about a mile back” says the Guard!
“Holy Fuck” says Paddy “That’s great...I thought I had gone deaf”

What's the difference between a pussy and a cunt?
A pussy is sweet, juicy, succulent, warm, fun and a useful thing.
The cunt is the thing that owns it!

Doc still hasn't given year, make or model on his car.

Just an aside, how much did you pay to insure your heap privately?
I got an annual taxi quote from taxifair for 1985, or 1500 until I get back to work.

+1... and manhandle the steering column through it's full adjustment range with a little bang at the stops... don't overdo it though, you don't wanna set the airbag off!

BJP (which I think is a euphemism), were on to me within the hour advising of a discount on their original quote, a bit strange or coincidental.
