Mrs Brown’s Boys shows cancelled by Brendan O'Carroll this summer
The show creator and show released a statement: “We had hoped to be putting our rescheduled 2020 shows on in 2021 but as time has gone on we can see that is not going to happen"

Can't believe we're going to miss out on the same joke for the last 25 years being trotted out again,I'm reminded when some hack a few years back went to see one of the live shows he commented in his review "Laugh?,I thought I'd never start"...

I'll admit i did like him years ago...90's....when Gerry Browne and his band were part of the show and playing in pubs,yeah...it was crude but it was funny but when you know what the punchline is it's time to create new material which he never did,when he became Gaybos BFF and moved to bigger venues attracting a more middle to upper-class audience and then the bucks started rolling in it was a case of if it's not broke,don't fix it......Gerry and the band got pushed or jumped....don't really know but the current format hasn't changed since he became a regular on The Late Late all those years ago.

Ditto,it was funny back then but just listening to BOC and his extended family cursing wearing a stupid costume is not funny enough any more.

I remember one night in The Fingal(Glasnevin Ave)....two burds come up the stairs in the middle of the act.....BOC.....says....."did yis leave Cinderella at home?"......the two of them barrel into the jacks and he follows them in..mic in hand...fukin screams out of them.....two of them barrel back out and down the stairs.....and gonzo!!

i was reading about him there recently.
he owned a gargler in finglas and the bidness partner effed off with all the dosh one day and resurfaced a couple years later.
turns out the bidness partner was a bandit who was riddled with a bad dose of AIDS and he wanted to just live it up.
carroll turned up to confront your man at your man's aulwan's gaff and be found out that he'd topped himself the day before.
