They have taxis here. I worked for them myself pre-COVID '19
I've used them in the UK, Spain and Germany. Great service in those countries, usually high end cars priced at or below taxi rates.

Wrong currency in the Uber email.

Depends where you use it I guess. I think I last used it in London, maybe that's what they go by. I usually use Free Now in Ireland as more drivers here work for Free Now and, unlike Uber, they have a huge fleet of unlicensed taxis to cover busy times.
