For the Punters among you .Todays Stage in La Tour is iconic its like the 100 meters in the olympics its a race within a race .Its Alp Dues the highest mountain stage of the tour .But its also the easiest to win as only about 6 or 7 of the cyclists are capable of racing up it .Team Movistar are nowhere in the General Classification but I think they have been waiting on this stage to do their thing and I have a a bet on .Miguel Angel Lopez

You'd have to wonder how a guy could climb a huge mountain and be stretchered off needing oxygen and a few hours later gets back on the bike and rides another 200 kms competitively.

All Sports were Dirty back then .I remember watching the Olympics and Ben Johnstone was done for Drugs Michael Lister on RTE said he had been in many Dressing Rooms before an All Ireland Final and lads had taken a Valium to two to calm the nerves .I rang the Indo to talk to somebody on the Sports desk to ask if they heard that and the fella that I spoke to said the GAA was the biggest sporting Organisation in the Country nobody heard that If you got banned from the GAA you couldnt work as a Sports Journalist in Ireland .
