Great result for Irteland in beating South Africa yesterday for the first time in living memory... and some (most?) of us thought Sunday's 5 points for a draw (rain stopped play) was a result! Last ODI in the series (all Malahide) on Friday (10:30, I think) followed by a T20 on Monday in Malahide and another couple of T20s in Stormont.
All live on BT Sport (I think) or the Cricket TV HD android app for those of us who don't subscribe to the relevant premium channel. For those with an international IPTV sub that's still working, I'd imagine it'll be on some South African channel and/or one of the Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi ones.

South Africans in No hurry to head home .I was talking to a Fellow Cricket fan thought Irelands score was defendable worth a small bet .

290 was (obviously with the benefit of hindsight) just about competitive... I have to admit I didn't expect it to be a winning score. Even with some fantastic fielding from the Irish it wasn't until the 4th or 5th wicket fell that I started to think it was possible. Even then, I didn't think they'd bowl SA out but I guess the pressure mounted as the required run rate got close to 12/over. More to come, I hope!

Thought ya were talking about rugby for a minute, no it's just rounders in white flannels.
-
Green kit - for both teams as it happens, but different shades... Whites are for test matches. If I think of it l'll post a picture of my jersey when it's out of the wash!

I was gonna argue that Rugger is a West Brits game... But listening to Nobby talking about Malahide "high street" on TV commentary yesterday, maybe not!

Not a great result, well outclassed to be honest. I watched it on BT Sport via a free trial of whats to become my new IPTV. I thought Izzy (or Isobel, these days) Joyce was brilliant on commentary. "It's all about the length with de Kock" says she (I kid you not!) and not a hint of a chuckle!
T20 in Malahide today (15:45 TV start) and then two more (Thursday and Sunday, I think) in Stormont.

Zzzzzzzz

Not the most exciting of chases alright, CB. Still, I guess they done well to survive the 20 overs albeit by the skin of their teeth. Hopefully better to come in the UK on Thursday/Saturday.

Is the Ireland v South Africa game not on Thursday ?
-
Aye (in Stormont), Thursday and Saturday as per reply #11. All the wee tickets are sold but it's live on BT Sport 1 or BT Sport 2 or BT Sport 3.

Galway is packed and hot. Nowhere to park in Salthill (unless you are a taximan). Outdoor eating everywhere. A Taximan was saying that he cant keep up with it but after midnight...it is dead...Still..it looks more like normal.Take a break...get away...its good for the head!
