Title: Runner-I did one last night
Post by: silverbullet on January 11, 2022, 02:50:41 pm
Picked up a skobie last night wanting to go to Ballymun, allegedly to pick up a bank card, then back to Edenmore.
Nothing sat right. First, he'd no mask - I gave him a free one. Then he asked to use my phone (no way) I phoned his mate, who didn't answer.
So when he got out in the 'mun I drove off. Cut your losses etc.

Also: Paper never refuses ink.

I don't think it's ever too early to cut your losses on a job if you feel it unlikely you're going to get paid, done it a few times over the years, you kinda know from the moment they open their trap.

i think ye mighta jumped the gun there.
sounded like a standard drug run.
i had a jungle bunny to the briggan last night.
it came up as a cash job.
he was dead silent in the back.
i was sweatin like jimmy savill in a morgue.
i was that close to pullin the car over and tellin him to get the fuck out.
but the lolly came out at the end.
roads were extremely quiet last night.
we're not in some new lockdown are we.

Some jobs have a whiff of a bogey whereas others are screaming it at you.

Dresses like a scobie

No phone

Looking to make a free call

Likely I'm carrying drugs

Likely a runner

Flagged on the street

Doesn't have a taxi app - even Lymp

Better to drop €8.00 than €20+ and the jobs you missed.

Immigrant?

I'd say a lot of them take advantage if the driver is obviously of a nervous disposition. Might explain why some drivers seem to attract runners?
