Title: The Erm at Titanic park
Post by: silverbullet on February 11, 2022, 08:12:38 pm
My skydiving friend practices  here.
I imagine it's like floating above a tunnel with Ermy at the bottom shouting from his boxroom about Brexit:

Will there be a cash in transit tax when we finally achieve the socialist republic of our (fore)fathers' dreams?

You're about 10 feet above a cargo net.

5 of us did the fixed line solo jump for charity many years ago, good crack. They told us that, I think c. 5% break an ankle on landing, and sure enough 1 lady in our group made it 20% in our case.
Found the Bungee jump in the rehab car park in Sandymount a lot scarier with the ground being a lot closer, and the bouncy bed on the ground looking like a stamp from the top of the crane.

Wayne, the guy in our dog walkers group has 87 tandem skydives to his name since 2019.
I saw a video of him performing his first "unstable exit" , brilliant recovery.
He's now a solo sky diver.
P.s his dog is called SKY , for obvious reasons.  A bit like Northside kids .
