Then on Fri night/Sat morning 11/12th March it was 181.9 in Douglas and the same price in Frankfield about 2km away.

Circle K dropped their diesel price by 43 cent per liter in 48 hours ??

Granted the Gov excise reduction fer 20 cent came in to effect during that time, as did also the rumours and complaints about price gouging !

Any roundy K I've passed since Thursday are 1.81, obviously their pr didn't like the bad publicity and fair play to them for their quick response.

I noticed yesterday that their unleaded had risen from 173.9 to 175.9 in the stations around northside that I mentioned somewhere else....but still cheaper than every other supplier who seem to be above 183.9(Unleaded)

Saw a article in a U.K. paper with a pic of prices in Ghana of petrol/Diesel.It was 48cent a litre and it is supplied and imported by the same companies Shell BP as the product at the U.K. pumps. Who is at fault here?. Is it OPEC or supply demand tactics?

I'd rather pay 1.80 on Irish wages than 48c on Ghanese wages.

Prices seem to be a bit 'all over the place' at the moment, Ive seen a few garages last night with unleaded 10 cent cheaper than diesel ??
Best to keep your eye on the forecourt prices and shop around till things hopefully calm down.

I would agree with you John M, fer the last week or so I fill my car up just before I finish my shift not knowing what tomorrow will bring, it's the prospect of fuel rationing that scares me.

Funny as it may seem, the DSP restriction on working hours that currently applies to me has made me increase my hours. For some reason my OCD treats the restriction as a target so I find myself having to complete the allowed 23 hours... as a result I'm having to fill up more than once weekly, probably burning c.1.28 tanks per week, maybe slightly more when I cover the occasional country run for Roy.
