I was watching a video the other day and the new Corolla hybrid is getting 75 to 80 mpg around town. That's a serious improvement compared to the Prius of 20 years ago.The petrol stations must be feeling the overall usage decreasing with leccy motors and are squeezing the prices up a bit more to compensate.

Merch do you think getting Petrel or Dizel  in the next few year could become a problem .The land that Garages are built on must be valuable .The ESSo on the Long mile site must be worth a good few Million .Richmond Road /Summerhill must be valuable as well .Even Mount Brown and Rialto are ideal sites for build to rent appartments .

Government took 20c a liter in Duty off it .That was only an interim cut .Paggo will put that back on plus more for Green Tax AFTER  the budget passes .

The Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe TD, has today (Wednesday) announced a temporary reduction in the excise duties charged on petrol, diesel and marked gas oil.

An incorporeal Cabinet meeting was held this morning and the Government gave approval to the proposal.

Excise duty will reduce by 20 cent per litre of petrol and 15 cent per litre of diesel. There will also be a reduction of 2 cent in the excise duty charged on marked gas oil. These reductions will take effect from midnight tonight and will remain in place until the 31st of August 2022.

Ken a few cents on the Fuel add that to your heating oil, Electricity and gas increases and Your Mortgage increases .Not much left to go taxi taking or Portering ..Listening to yer one from the Greens wants to stimulate the Night Time Economy by extending Opening Hours for Porter Shops .She knows people stressed out will drink more .And the Cynical thing is they want to cut fuel sales and make up the lost duty by selling more Porter .Its a Green Party Cut Fuel sales that wants to increase Gargle and Gargle tax take .They dont want your lungs damaged by Exhaust fumes but your liver can rot .Its Cynical but thats Politics .
