Here is an interesting one .Our kid was thinking of working from home .Her employer asked about house insurance as his equipment would be in our house and would it be covered .She rang the House insurers who said if the owner of the house did not own the equipment then it would need to be insured separately as it is commercial equipment ..Now whats the story if you keep a Commercial vehicle taxi garaged for charging on your premises .In the event of an electrical fire from a charger or car associated with trade would your house insurance be valid or do you have to inform your insurer you are charging your vehicle from home and have fitted a charger ?
