However, I don't agree with your attempts to extend your apparent inferiority complex to anyone else. Suggesting that the man reported to be leading the Finglas group is inept couldn't be further from the truth. Look at Wednesday night... he managed to engage practically 100% of police resources available to the State in one single Garda barracks and attract all the media attention that goes with that while mobilising but a handful of protesters. In fact, I've seen better attended taxi protests over the years and can only imagine what we would have given for such attention!

I didn't read every word but yis are mixing up two things.
In the OP, the woman stole from the State and that's a no-no. "The State" who make the laws gets very upset about it and punishes harshly. That's why Revenue & Customs have more powers than the Gardai. Most remember the businessman who got 6 years (?) for not paying tax on garlic cloves or something. Again, it wasn't the garlic, it was because stole money from the State.
All this anti-migrant stuff & street protests, the State doesn't care so much about that. That's just citizen plebs letting off a bit of steam. If they thought about it, instead of shouting outside Garda stations, they'd;
(a) putting pressure on their local politicians to ask why 40% of migrants can get on a plane in a foreign country with their documents but have no documents when they land airside in the airport*. They haven't technically arrived in Ireland so they could be fukked out.
(b) why isn't the Dublin Convention being applied properly?
(c) and (Jesus wept) instead of 'protecting' Irish women from foreign rapists, ask why there are 3,500 children homeless last week, this week and probably next week?

The woman was drawing the dole while working as a hairdresser and was able to squirrel away over €95,000 in the credit union.
There are a lot of people "From my background " who are not criminals, me included.

I didn't read every word but yis are mixing up two things.
In the OP, the woman stole from the State and that's a no-no. "The State" who make the laws gets very upset about it and punishes harshly. That's why Revenue & Customs have more powers than the Gardai. Most remember the businessman who got 6 years (?) for not paying tax on garlic cloves or something. Again, it wasn't the garlic, it was because stole money from the State.
All this anti-migrant stuff & street protests, the State doesn't care so much about that. That's just citizen plebs letting off a bit of steam. If they thought about it, instead of shouting outside Garda stations, they'd;

Im tinkin of going to Russia for the summer holls…I luv the thick black bread they do be givin ya for de breakfast and it takes most of the mornin to be spreading the hard lard over the blac bread ,so it does. Also the pettrol is very cheap, so ya can drive to Siberia and back for bout 5 Rubles =60cent ish. Ya can visit the Kremlin which was named after Crumblin cos they both are kips.There is a big Hermitage Museum in St. Petes, where-all the hermits hang outh! Also ya can get on a Bi-plane and visit Vldivostok, where the military soldiers-do their movements.I stayed in the Nizhny Art Museum for 44e a night a few years ago.This includes de black bread and hot water for de Breakfast so it does and on.You could do a 7 day budget round trip to Russia for 20,000 RUB ( 300 euro). 3,500 homeless leaves approximately One Billion Children (under the age of 14) officially of fixed abode. We often hear millionaire (or former millionaire) entrepreneurs claim they'd drive a cab to feed their families if they had to... On here, we have a unique group of men who actually do drive cabs to feed our families. We know that employers are unable to fill job vacancies across a wide range of sectors including unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled vacancies. Without getting SB on you, is it reasonable to suggest that there may be ample opportunities available to parents who wish to feed and house their families, indeed opportunities immigrants are more than happy to exploit?
Also, Census 2022 reports 167.000 vacant residential properties. Regardless of whether we ought to require people to work for a living or not I guess we will have to wait until Deputy O'Brin is appointed Minister for Housing People to marry the empty property with the homeless Children. To give you an example a few Sundays ago I picked up a young Ukranian female accompanied by a Fingal gentleman at a Bus Stop in Lissenhall and drove her to Gormanstown School via Donabate for a pre-agreed 70 notes. Good for me, good for the economy. Many hotel proprietors have suggested that their premises will not be available for tourists going forward due to staffing difficulties with some suggesting that the very influx of immigrants that's keeping roofs over their families' heads will will further solve the staffing crisis going forward and, in fact, may well enable them to reopen their doors to tourists in the fullness of time.
To be fair to America, many of our own found refuge in those parts when our British neighbours triesd to starve us to death... and many of those done very well for themselves with some returning with considerable contributions to our exchequer.
Of course, many will criticise the hospitality sector for not employing "our own" but I guess they would if they could. Would you employ an Irish Nanny/Child Minder if one were willing to work for you?

Our own homeless won't work in hotels and bars, won't stack brick, won't fit kitchens/windows/etc, won't fix cars/buses/trucks/etc., won't clean our houses, cars and offices, won't drive our taxis, buses, trams, trains, trucks, etc, etc... These are all things that are essential for our economy to function. You are, of course, correct to note that we have a long tradition of emigration, probably on a less voluntary basis than is currently the case. The world is a smaller place today than was the case in 1835, for example, and our youngsters are, for the most part, eager to explore foreign climes.

The theory that we have plenty of workers waiting to address those roles if and when wages are increased is pure fantasy. The economy is at full employment in practical terms so there is nobody who wants to work waiting on the sidelines.
Similarly, experience shows second generation migrants are just as likely to attain 3rd level education and join the workforce as are our own kids. That said, we are in the context of a boom so we do have to be mindful of potential pitfalls that may emerge when the next recession hits.

The dependency on migrants (not necessarily refugees) is for labour more than anything else, MMW. I was up above in Dublin for a Tradfest event last Saturday and - get this, in January - there wasn't a table available to have a bite to eat in any bar/restaurant in Temple Bar at 17:13 in evening. Where we eventually settled for a pint, folk were eating their dinner standing up, I kid you not... plate balanced in one hand, fork in the other and knife on the floor. There wasn't an Irishman employed in any of the few bars we visited along our way.
However, migrants do spend money... not necessarily as much as tourists (although during a COVID '19 anall staycation in West Cork I was reliably informed that Dublin tourists spend multiples of what them Americans leave behind and you don't need to hire a halfwit with a fiddle to get them into the bar) but, perhaps more regularly. The (threatened) closure of an hotel in a small backwater town could have far reaching consequences for the local economy.

Look at how Free Now controls the taxi trade, for example. I know you claim to have little or no understanding of macroeconomics and such like but the big problem going forward is where it all ends. We keep educating our kids and the kids of the migrants so we are creating a perpetual need for first generation migrants. As you allude to, other nations have attempted to solve that by creating a two tier education system which focuses resources on the mostly indigeonous (lower) middle class population. In our case, if there is disproportionate investment (and there is!) it's the other way round with the Black schools (in the guise of Educate Together) getting blank cheques while white (generally RCC founded) schools have to beg, borrow and steal to get a poxy prefab. Of course, anti-RCC sentiment is also at play there. A woman was telling me (I don't know what level of truth is in it) that the majority of Educate Together - without whom the black kids would have to go to the same schools as the white kids and get, well, eduvcated together! - boards are controlled by those of Islamic faith...
