Post by: John m on February 06, 2023, 02:10:23 pm
Man City to be charged with Financial Fair Play rules breaking .Man Utd ,Arsenal,Chelsea must also have questions to answer .Will they just tell the Premier League to go Fuck off and join other big European Teams in a new Super League ?

Seems to be the Premier League trying to save itself .Top European teams dont need Leeds United or Everton to make big money .Top 6 Brit clubs two from Spain, two or three from Italy two from Germany two from France and form their own Super League .Top 6 teams in Britain all owned by non Brits they have no loyalty to the FA .Its all about making money Pay per view TV .Ganzee Sales and match day ticket sales .Whick game would have the biggest world wide audience Man Utd away to Barcalona or away to Fulham .If SKY Sports decided not to bid for the TV rights for the Premier League it would go bankrupt .

Your theory in principal is sound John M, but in theory I doubt it would work. The Champions league already exists and it has a following but nothing like what the Premier league or any other European league has.

Fer instance I started a Champions league Buster on here a few years back and you yourself were included, I followed it and it was a very entertaining even dramatic few months, but I was alone, not a single other entrant had any interest at all in the Champions league.

LIV Golf .The Sports arbitration people are due to rule if LIV players can be excluded from the Ryder Cup .LIV Golf will be the blueprint for a Super League .Saudis might put up a huge lump for the winners of a LIV Football League .Remember UTD didnt enter the FA Cup one year .Who says that the League winners have to play in the Champions League .

Good article in some Football mag today on line EUefa will not allow teams with the same owners compete against each other in any of their Tournaments ..So the Quataris who own PSG or the Saudis who own Newcastle cannot buy UTD if they want to Compete in the Champions League .Start their own League ?

Snooker back in the day was brilliant, we all loved it and most of us could recognise the top 16 in an instant and even knew most of them by first name, Steve, Denis, Alex, Cliff, Silvino, Willie, Kirk, Jimmy, Big Bill, Etc.

Then along came Barry Hearn with his few bob and his Matchroom syndicate and almost overnight spoiled the whole thing, bar Ronnie I wouldn't recognise a single player in the top 16 today. It was money and a marketeer that spoiled snooker.
