Post by: John m on February 14, 2023, 03:16:29 pm
Just put in an application for funding to develop a powerpack for EV taxis .Consists of a Solar panel and storage battery .Average daylight should generate enough power to run Roofie .Headlights and radio .Cutting down on cost of charging .

Black bollards. Imagine shouting out that, or protesting their removal.

Most tech companies never actually make a final product - they just get so far and hope/pray that one of biggies will buy them out.

Any money you save via solar will be lost by the extra fuel you burn to carry the weight of the battery and solar battery.

Lightyear (https://lightyear.one) is/was a Dutch EV car with solar panels all over the car.  It just went into examinership last month.

I think Erm was taking the piss.My old roofsign has three 5 watt bulbs. The amount of power needed to light the roof is negligible. The LED ones are using even less.

15 watts an hour costs nothing and it will be likely off for most of that hour.
