FREE NOW closes in Portugal
As of 23:59, Lisbon time, on April 2, 2023, FREE NOW will close in Portugal. It was a difficult decision to make and we are extremely grateful for all the passengers and drivers who made our stay in Portugal better.
Although you will no longer be able to order FREE NOW in Portugal, we will continue to be present for European trips. Travel to one of the more than 170 cities in which we operate and you will be able to use the app, whether to order a taxi, a private car, a scooter, a scooter, an electric bike or a shared ride. In Lisbon, you can continue to book scooters directly on the Cooltra app.
Once again, we thank you for your support and preference over the years.

I see Paris has banned e scooters. Maybe it's the beginning of the end for these shysters who don't care about you, the passengers or anybody else. All greed, pure and simple.

Why did FN pull out of Portugal, competition, or driver resistance?

Apparently it was competition.
