Garda probe launched after taxis spotted with same roof licence number (https://www.dublinlive.ie/news/garda-probe-launched-after-taxis-29057851)
An investigation is under way after a taxi was observed with an alleged duplication of another taxi roof licence number sign.
The National Transport Association (NTA) compliance team, along with gardai, promptly seized the alleged duplicate sign on April 16 when the allegation was reported to them. An image circulated on social media showing the two taxis allegedly bearing the same taxi roof sign with the same licence number.
When contacted and shown the image of the two taxis bearing the same licence number sign, the NTA confirmed an investigation is underway and the two vehicles are part of the ongoing investigation. “On April 16, NTA received a report of an alleged duplication of a taxi roof sign as seen in the image you sent,” the NTA confirmed.
“The NTA compliance team, in collaboration with An Garda Síochána, promptly seized the duplicate sign on the same day and initiated an investigation. The image showing two vehicles — the previously licensed red car and the newly licensed black car — is part of the ongoing investigation.”

Yer man took a photo of the old jammer aside the new jammer and roofie and shared it. The rest is history. No daisies in the old jammer window.

There should be some obligation on Freenow or the driver to have old branding removed if the licence is being changed over.
Only another taxi driver would know to check if a taxi had valid daisies.

The old roof sign shown doesn't appear to meet required specs. The (required?) wording before the licence number is missing. I guess that could explain why the owner (Pat McKenna) got a new roof sign but the old one should be removed from the vehicle it's attached to.
... or maybe Pat has the same plate rented to hundreds of immigrants and they could all be middle aged men of fighting / child raping age.

My guess as there are no green daisies on the older red 131 Fluence is that Ahmed or Pat upgraded to a new 241 Corolla and sold/passed on the old unlicensed Fleunce to an associate/friend to work street only as no app (or base ??) will give work to an unlicensed taxi, most likely Ahmed or Pat left the old meter in the old taxi and bought a new one fer the nua Corolla.
Not a very well thought out scam by Ahmed or Pat with NTA compliance officers digitally checking license numbers these days and the ultra vigilant taxi drivers checking each other.

I reckon it`s a "there`s me old car, here`s me new car photo" that was shared . Pat would be well known in Limerick and wouldn`t get away with that scam.
