It was posted here a few months back that FN no longer give out annual earnings reports, they seem to have done a U-turn on that because I got my 2023 yearly earnings report by email yesterday.

"Please note, that no rights can be obtained from this document. We are sharing it for information purposes only."
Might not be good enough for Revenue (or the banks if you're after a loan)?
-
I wonder if somebody told them It was MY information and under GDPR I have a right to know what information you hold on me .Please furnish me with an annual statement of earnings ???????

I know I said the same when I called in a while back. Gas thing is, the total was down 5K on 2022!

Of course it will be good enough fer revenue, we prepare our own details and submit them, in the unlikely event of an audit then they can trawl through all the figures to find that what was on the earnings report is correct.
-
The best of it fer me is that it saves me getting out the pen, paper and calculator to add up all the 50+ earnings emails.
-
I add has I go throughout the year, every fare figure is written down on a notepad added at the end of the shift and added at the end of the week. Take about 5 minutes a week.
-
A little bird says that someoone on FN's office made a horliks of the driver accounts, and that's why they stopped giving the info. Apparently now it's all sorted, and is being handled from Germany.
-
Here's the wrong way to do it.Add up all you spent all year plus all the holidays and mortgage/rent payments then subtract roughly everything you spent.
I really don't know how yous add up every fare.I think I'd rather be audited.
-
35 euro float at start of week add up cash on your hip Sumup payments and Freenow payment .Add them all up you got your income .Tax man dosent give a fuck who gave you what just how much you got .Then deduct costs from income gives you actual earnings .Ye are taxi drivers not chartered accountants .Keep it simple .

If Revenue audit you, they won't be trawling through anything. You'll be doing the hard work and you presenting a FN piece of paper that basically says it may or may not be true probably won't be acceptable.

So how much did ye all earn on FN
7.5k for me
-
€0.00 for me Jack.
-
€0.00 for me Jack.
Legend
-
It's €0.00 for all apps Jack. I just couldn't be arsed booting up the road to get to some plank who ends up cancelling when you're 2 minutes away. That's the biggest turn off for me. Along with the extortionate commission of course.

31K with a mortgage.

Jeez that's some going SB.I think I did about 9k before I deleted it in November.Back on it now but I still prefer Uber and Bolt jobs if I get a choice.

I work nights Merc. There's little or no work on the streets unless you beg outside pubs, clubs or restaurants. I prefer to do fewer hours by keeping rolling. Sitting on a rank is like being a sitting duck.
-
If I told you lot what I made last year, you'd probably not believe it.So I wont lol.
I'm probably either No 1 or No 2 on here .(Because obviously the 2k+ merchants are either too busy or too sleep deprived to chat shit here)
-
I like being poor...can't really explain it.Just do enough and no more.
-
Don’t see the big FN fans posting der earnings but always boasting about Trummers and Monkeys.
Must be all tall tales

This: Their [ASAI] analysis showed that 83% being split nearly equally between €0 - €499 and €500 to €1,000, with 10%, having earned between €1,000 and €1,299. The remainder, 7%, earned more than €1,300.
~40% less than €500
~40% €500 - €1,000
10% €1,000 - €1,300
7% more than €1,300
FN's knuckles also got rapped for not saying if these numbers were gross or net oops

More info from RTE - https://www.rte.ie/news/2024/0227/1434779-asai-complaints/ (https://www.rte.ie/news/2024/0227/1434779-asai-complaints/)
Data provided by Free Now outlined the number of weeks worked and the weekly earnings for the Free Now drivers over the year in question.
They said that earning data represented the top 5% of drivers in 2022 and therefore was a true representation of what someone could earn up to on a weekly basis using the app.
The advertisers highlighted the fact that more than 7% of the drivers had earned up to €1,300 a week driving Free Now in 2022.
The ASAI Executive said they undertook a basic analysis of the information provided by Free Now.
Their [ASAI] analysis showed that 83% being split nearly equally between €0 - €499 and €500 to €1,000, with 10%, having earned between €1,000 and €1,299. The remainder, 7%, earned more than €1,300.
The ASAI upheld that complaint on that issue. It also partially upheld a complaint about the same advertisment that it did not specify if the €1,300 figure was net or gross.
I'm surprised FN gave out that info so easily? But 83% of FN drivers earn less than a grand a week v. 7% over €1.3k As Frank Carson might say, it's the way I tell 'em
And again no mention of FreeNow in the RTE headline...
-
If you were earning 1300 a week for 50 weeks of the year that's 65,000. How much would revenues cut be? And that's just off fn. I don't think I've ever declared more than 25000 if even that tbh.
-
And bear in mind that FN have to run promo's to get people to work nights, some mornings and big events... so they can't get enough drivers at those times.
But €1,300 is kinda believable and not at the same time. It's 13 jobs/day x €20 x 5 days = €1,300. But I'd imagine you'd have to knock off 15% commission as well. Could an average driver work at that level week in and week out and still have a private/family life?

I pay them about €80 a week commission/freight.
If my passengers are to be believed there are at least two drivers of sub-continental persuasion per taxi, and sometimes three.
