A female pedestrian has died in hospital after they were hit by a motorcycle in north Dublin yesterday evening. The incident occurred on the R139 at Coolock at around 7.15pm. According to gardaí, the victim was taken to hospital, but died early this morning.

Amazing how we still allow motorcycles on public roads.
I wonder if it was one of those scrambler things. Wouldn't be the first time one of those has hit a pedestrian and Coolock is infested with the fuckers at the moment, not that the Gardai give a flying fuck... well, unless they see one of the far right activists from the paint factory on one.

THE wife of a man left brain injured by a scrambler has hit out at the justice system after claiming gardai told her the teen driver will not even appear before a court. Anzhela Kotsinian, 44, has blasted the Gardai, the 16-year-old driver and his parents after receiving a “devastating” outcome to the case.

She said: “My husband is lying in hospital clinging to life for the past ten months. “For those months I waited on justice and I waited on that boy’s mother to say one word: ‘Sorry’. “Instead, I am told by a Garda that our case is over, that the justice system decided the 16-year-old would not go to prison. “They decided he didn’t have any fault in this case and there would be no prison, nothing.”

A Garda spokesman said: “A file was forwarded to DPP for direction. This matter is to be dealt with by way of the Juvenile Diversion Programme.” The JDP programme was established as a way to stop young people committing crime. But Anzhela said she had not been consulted on the process.
Ilabek is set to live with severe disabilities for the remainder of his life.
