Title: Cork politicians to let down locals again

Flooding is expected all around the south and west, and the authorities have not invested enough in flood defences.
Yet they're first in front of the cameras to laud the multi-million euro investments in little-used cycleways.

I hope they're first in front of a firing squad on the day of the revolution. 8)

I'm open to correction but I think it's the locals who object to new drainage plans a lot of the time.  Esp in Cork, the council comes up with plans but the locals object to them for whatever reason.

If Midleton residents want sewage floating through their homes that is their prerogative. It must be why Midleton whiskey has a distinct flavour. 8)
