“The only saving grace is they haven’t built anything out to the airport,” he says, adding that as soon as the Metrolink is finished, “good luck”.
Good point ....

Good point ....
A lot of vested interests in not having the Metrolink built...over 300mill spent on consultant reports and not a sod turned....Aircoach,Dublin Express and every other service.

There's a new orbital bus route in my area called the N2 or something. But it goes Heuston ,Blackhorse ave ,broombridge Cabra,Griffith ave, UCD Clontarf then back to Heuston again.
It's actually a really good route and would cover a lot of the work we'd be called for.A few more routes like this and we could see our work getting a bit more scarce.
Combined with the buses accepting card payments and we could see a big decrease in work.I think there's too much waffling about the airport metro.Overall it's only a tiny fraction of my work.Orbital bus routes and card payments could be much more harmful to the day shift.

Im down the flats with Big Dommo and Larry The Belly hes on a diet just under 30 stone now .and we are watching all the taxis dropping off or boomeranging from the fourth block .Big Dommos sisters brothers mates cousins Da use to drive a Taxi back in the Day .He said we didnt have the booming Drugs trade in My day .Day work usually includes a few Pharma Runs .The customers might change but the trade remains the same .

Trips to the airport is at least 33% of me jobs ...I avoid town unless it's really quiet
-
I try to avoid any pharma runs...I actually do avoid them....the state of some yokes sticking their hands out!!
-
Isn't ther buses inta town already tho .... ide say if yur after flyin from America the last ting yull do is wait for a bus .... even the metro specially at nite
-
I usually decline most airport jobs unless it's on Sunday or I'm trying to get northside to finish up.Too many other taxis out there.Too many empty runs out of the kip.Although I have been getting a bit lately as I'm ranked up on Uber.

Mary lou won't change much
The housing crisis won't be fixed easy
Too expensive to build too many stupid costs in planning etc
There's banks of land WITH planning permission for apartments that can't be build due to cost
All them new apartments at back of clondalkin being build on wet marsh lands I used to walk my dogs there. They bound to sink
Plans gone in for crumlim shopping center that ua brickfield quarry before shopping center
Good luck buying there
The ones facing mc gregors pub with burned timber front
Sinking already
The new clondalkin ones being build by ex provo a very rich one
Remember mc feeneys last attempt at building
Do not buy apartments in Dublin ever

I dropped a punter here: https://gemconstruction.ie/housing-minister-opens-landmark-public-housing-project-on-malahide-road/
Directly opposite DarnJail and in front of Clare Village.
The Dublin city council gifted him a studio apartment for the princely sum of €88.00 a week. Sheesh, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis would bite off his hand for that deal.
Spectacular views of the mountains and all across the Irish sea, apparently.
