Drivers, take heed as gardai are ramping up their efforts on road safety this week.

Come Wednesday, February 26, there will be a 24-hour speed enforcement blitz as part of National Slowdown Day. In partnership with GoSafe and other road safety affiliates, gardai hope to shine a light on the perils of speeding, ensure more folks stick to the speed limits and put the brakes on those with a heavy foot.

The crackdown involves 'speed enforcement zones', over a thousand of which are dotted around Ireland. You can pinpoint each zone's location on the Garda website (https://www.garda.ie/en/roads-policing/safety-camera-locations/safety-camera-locations.html).
