A power fault has caused disruption to Luas services in Dublin this morning.

There is currently no service on the Green Line between Sandyford and Broombridge while the Red Line is suspended between Smithfield and The Point and Connolly.

Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this service disruption.

Luas operator Transdev apologised for any inconvenience caused.

Technicians are on site and will work their way systematically along the Green Line to identify the source of the fault, the operator said.

The service disruption has caused knock-on effects with traffic delays reported in Dublin city.

Looks like the Green Line is still out (Thurs)  - Luas Green Line remains suspended following power failure (https://www.rte.ie/news/2025/1211/1548347-luas-green-line-dublin/)

Looks like a case of 'computer says no' so they have to walk the line to find the fault and fix it first.  They're hoping it'll be fixed 'after rush hour' but they didn't say what rush hour...

They're taking turns now!

Luas red line services partially out of action due to a fault (https://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/luas-red-line-services-partially-out-of-action-due-to-a-fault-1842068.html)

Luas red line services are partially out of action on Monday morning due to a fault.  Trams are not running between Abbey Street and the Point thanks to an operational issue.  Services between Tallaght/Saggart and Abbey Street are not affected.
