That story makes no mention of the Gardai stations for lost property  C:-)

Same edition of The Indo has...  Gardaí save man from ‘worst nightmare’ scenario after he left Christmas presents in taxi (https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/gardai-save-man-from-worst-nightmare-scenario-after-he-left-christmas-presents-in-taxi/a2059141874.html)

Taxi driver dropped lost property to Gardai as per regs...

The last place ide be leaving antin  of value is in a pig station ....

The lost property is not mine so it has no value to me.  But you'd be recorded on CCTV handing it in so you have an alibi if you get accused of stealing it.
