FREENOW for Drivers
Driver recognition awards 2025
Last week in our Dublin office, we celebrated the people who make those journeys possible: our taxi driver community.

We’ve recognised outstanding drivers across three categories, highlighting those who provide more than just a lift – they provide a helping hand to the city.

Driver of the year
Celebrating those who lead the way in performance and receive glowing praise from passengers, trip after trip.
- Jamal Masoudi
- Amar Sajjad
- George Njuguna
- Sylwester Wojcik
- Vinod Lekhwar

Legacy driver
Honouring the drivers who have been part of the Freenow story for the longest time. Their experience is the infrastructure of our community.
-  Ariyo Ojuade
- Vikas Lekhwar
- Kashif Ashraf
- Victor Obeng
- Irfan Ali

Driver’s driver
The ultimate mark of respect. These winners were chosen by their fellow drivers for their support, leadership, and community spirit.
- Darren Bolger
- Lucky Oguntuase
- Robert hyland

A huge thank you to all our winners and to every driver who keeps Ireland moving.

Congratulations, all. I guess 25% is a small price to pay for such prestigious recognition.

I suppose they can't go home now and say they walked away from the industry over 5% extra commission.Thr sooner the commission goes to 50% the quicker we will all delete the apps.

Maybe. At least the co-op lads are trying to give us an alternative. The fact that they've managed to raise a six figure launch budget is quite encouraging and something they ought to be proud of and we ought to be grateful for.

There does be four of them working one car, all doing 19 hour shifts. A punter was telling me he went to put his suitcase in the boot of one of them EVs and there was two immigrant lads pedalling away on a generator each, charging the batteries for their shifts.
