Man fined €500 for trying to smuggle brother-in-law into Ireland with ‘lookalike’ Swedish passport (https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/courts/man-fined-500-for-trying-to-smuggle-brother-in-law-into-ireland-with-lookalike-swedish-passport/a/159241874.html)
A Somali-born EU citizen living in Ireland was caught trying to smuggle his brother-in-law into the country using a “lookalike” Swedish passport. Abdinafa Abdullahi Haji (30) was arrested in Dublin Airport after he flew to Brussels and back on the same day, returning with the other man. Judge Michael Ramsey fined him €500 at Dublin District Court. Haji, with an address at a hostel at Litton Lane, Dublin, pleaded guilty to assisting the unlawful entry of a person into the State and possession of a fraudulent travel document.
... He moved to Sweden in 2012, became a citizen there around 2021 and moved to Ireland, where he had worked in the airport and then as a cash-in-transit driver, his barrister said. Haji now hoped to get a taxi licence.
Don't know why I'm "laughing", he'll probably sail fly through the application process >:( One conviction is hardly a conviction at all at all.

Strange one to hold his hands up to... seems they travelled on a normal scheduled flight... assuming his brother in law is a grown man and he didn't pack him into a suitcase or whatever what business of his is it?
ITDF and TTnH tend to speak up for criminals refused licences... not sure what the sub is these days but could be money well spent?
