Here is my thoughts .The MMA has recently been sold for over a billion dollars ,they need a victory .So drop a wedge on Mayweather to take a dive .Go over in the First and claim a succer punch or if your Mc Gregor take a sucker in the First then save face by calling out Mayweather and declaring you retired the Man when there is no rematch .RESULT both fighters retain the Legends and harvest a huge wedge .If Mc Gregor dosent stay in it until at least halfway he looks like a chump .If Mayweather struggles his legend is tarnished .My bet both to win in the First .Paddy Power already paid out on Mayweather .Our kids mate works in Power Tower in Tallaght they paid out just under two grand nobody in Ireland or the UK are betting on Mayweather @ 1/6 or !/4 latest price .

USA boxing hasn`t won a men`s gold in the last 2 games, in fact their medal count for both games is in single figures with 3 medals going to female boxers IIRC.

To be fair to Conor, going 9+ rounds with Mayweather proves that he is a skilful fighter, particularly to those of us who dismissed cage fighting as gurrierism.

It was a pity, most especially seeing as that I had backed Mayweather to win by Decision @ 3/1.
To be fair to McGregor he did give his legion of fans plenty to shout about by winning the First Three rounds, but it was 'The old dog fer the long road' and Mayweather played the game perfectly allowing his opponent to punch himself out before taking complete control of the fight in the Fifth round.

Indeed so, it would seem that most of the taxi fleet had taken the night or morning off to watch the fight.
I worked on all night only listening to the commentary of the fight on Utube while transferring hotel customers to the airport.
Once the fight was over the place went mad looking fer taxies, hours later there was still many hands out on the street looking fer flagdowns.

Cage fighting is gurrierism but MMA is a cut above with strict rules. The Jujitsu clubs are flying in Dublin, albeit Brazilian Jujitsu and not the pure form. The underground stuff is huge in London and there's big money on the table for ex-boxers and scrappers galore from the military etc. What McG achieved is down to extremely hard graft and a lot of cunning and intelligence. Give me his version of the fightin' Irish any day over that of Shamus O'Shaughnessy and his wrestling crew. Jujitsu came into force when the Samurai had lost all his weapons and was prepared for death....not so with McG.
